You call out the wizard

"Well, Mr. Wizard," you begin, unsure if that is the proper form of address but liking how it drives your point across, "I would be happy to get your tackle box for you!"

The old man grimaces, growls, and stands up.

"Never mind," he says. He tears off his overalls as if they were a paper apron and is immediately a good two feet taller than he was and wearing an ermine lined blue velvet robe and a pointy hat. His personal hygiene has also miraculously improved. "As you can see, I am the Wizard of the Islannd!"

This wasn't exactly a surprise, but you remember Rolf's advice and let him have his moment.

"What do you desire of me?" he intones.

You explain the bear's request. In response the Wizard simply scoffs.

"Me? Help a bear? A common animal? I have better things to do with my time. Be gone, before I tire of you!"

Are you a diplomat and offer the Wizard the bear's gift in hopes of softening him up?

or

Are you a warrior and threaten to give him the beating of his life if he doesn't help your friend the bear?

or

Are you an honest soul who asks if there is any task that you might complete in order to sway him?
