Relax

You aren't certain if you actually said the word, "Relax," but the sphere immediately knows your choice and  the voice intones, "Thank you. Enjoy your relaxing in flight entertainment experience."

The white fades to green and blue, slowly coming into focus as the shore of a peaceful, forest lake at twilight. The surface is glassy calm, reflecting the willows and reeds that grow thickly along the bank. Occasionally a fish breaks the surface with a sudden but somehow not startling splash. You step  out onto the water and find you can glide just above the surface. You gaze down and see long, silvery fish darting just under you, playing tag among the weeds. A family of turtles treads water nearby before emerging to float beside you, regarding you with quiet, turtle eyes. There is a large turtle, perhaps the mother, and a brood of three, palm sized turtles. You smile at them before continuing across the lake to a bed of waterlilies.

Each lily sits in the middle of a green pad as large as an area rug and each is a different color. The smell of them over takes you and you sit on a pad next to a pale pink lily and watch the sunset over the trees. The skies turn pink then red then purple. Stars appear above you, first only a few, then more and more until you are staring into an endless field of them, like hundreds of diamonds spilled across blue velvet. Around you all is now dark and the crickets chime out in symphony . . . you are just about to drift off to sleep when the images fade back to white and you look up and find Solsticia standing above you.

"We are at our destination. I thought you might appreciate seeing the view," she explains.

You turn your attention to the window but can see nothing but a blanket of fog, but then you break above the cloud cover and see a miraculous sight on the horizon, a city of alabaster and pearl with spires and stair cases floating upon a particularly dense sheet of cloud. You rub your eyes. You knew that this was a castle in the clouds but hearing about it and seeing it are two different beasts and you gape in awe at this impossible structure.

In no time at all the zeppelin bumps up against a dock like protrusion on the city and the sky-sailors hurry to bind ropes and hold it fast.

You disembark with the crowd and find yourself facing the broad, shining streets of a fairy city.

Do you proceed immediately to the Queen?

or

You have some time. Explore the Cloud Castle while you can.
