Follow the butterflies

You  relax your body and allow yourself to be gently propelled forward by the gentle urging of your butterfly guides. As you go forward into the maze, more and more butterflies rise from the ground and bushes or circle down from the sky until you are walking into a rain of butterflies, like a shower of confetti all around you. Whenever they brush your face and body, they leave a trace of the powder from their wings and as this transfers to you it seems that your body grows lighter and lighter. Soon you are scarcely able to keep  your feet upon the ground and are gliding along on the tips of your toes.

At the end of the maze you find yourself on a balcony overlooking the entire garden, a lush landscape of shrubs in the shape of animals and frolicking fawns, fountains, and pillars of roses. Everywhere the air is filled with dancing butterflies.

The butterflies give you a gentle push and you leave the balcony and are suspended in the air above the flower garden, held aloft by the butterflies and your own sudden lack of gravity. You gently circle downward and land on the grass. The flowers turn their faces up towards you and release their fragrance. You are surrounded by the scents of roses, lavender, and gardenia. You close your eyes and rest as the butterflies continue to dance about you.

Soon you must continue on your journey.
