You Stand Your Ground

Picking yourself back up, you face the gremlin defiantly, tucking the coin into your pocket with a deliberate movement you are sure he cannot miss. The creature sniffs at you.

"Who wishes in a dry fountain?" you snort. "If you leave things lying about you shouldn't be surprised when someone else picks them up."

"Cheeky," the gremlin scowls. "I admire your pluck, however, so I won't turn you into a salamander just yet  . . . I don't suppose you are looking for an adventure? How would you like to earn that coin? I have a friend who has been asking me to send him a brave soul to complete a particularly arduous task. If you willing to take up the quest, I can point you in his direction."

Do  you decline his offer and continue on your way to the river

or ask him where you can find his friend?
