Continue to the river

You leave the garden behind and walk beneath the ancient trees of the forest. There is no longer a distinct path, but you can hear the sound of the river and use it to guide your footfalls. The trees are mainly great, broad oaks and the sun filters through their leaves dappling the ground beneath. For awhile you stop and take it all in, but the river calls and you continue.

You catch a glimpse of it through the trees and quicken your pace. Soon you are at the banks. It is a swift river, not large, but quick with white frothy water that shoots over shiny, slick boulders. There is a path running beside the river giving you a choice of left or right. You stop and think for a moment before choosing

left

or

right.
