Continuing on your quest

The remainder of your trip down the mountain is uneventful and pleasant. Your path is shaded by great trees and the air smells of crisp, fresh pine needles. You occasionally find berries growing along the side of the path and pick them for a snack, allowing you to continue without hunger. Eventually the ground levels and the forest changes from dense conifers and mossy rocks to widely spaced, broad leaf maples and soft green grass. You pass a family of deer grazing along the side of the path. You glance at them and they glance back but then return to their meal and do not run.

By the time you reach the shore of the lake it is late, and you feel you must rest before trying to find your way across the water.

Do you sleep on the ground?

or

Do you continue along the shore hoping to find a house or inn?
