The path tilts upward and narrows and soon, rather than a tunnel, you are traveling up a flight of stairs. Statues of imperious looking goblins are displayed in niches every few feet. At the top of the stairs stands a pair of Goblin sentries, stationed on either side of a great metal door. Each grasps a spear in one hand and a shield of iron in the other. In the center of each round shield lies a great emerald about the size of a man's fist.
They eye you as you approach. The first one sighs.
"Please tell me you are looking for the Throne Room and NOT the Crystal Lake," he says. "I swear, if I catch the idiot who has been switching the signs around here, I will kick him into the daylight to sizzle!
If you are here to see the Goblin King state your business.
If not, just turn back the way you came and take the opposite fork and you'll find yourself at the Crystal Lake."
