"Ah, fantastic! I love a good meal!" Solsticia cheers. "Would you like something specially prepared? The majority of our meats are precooked because fire is not advisable on airships. Don't even get me started on the barbeque disaster last year on our sister ship. So let me give you a tour of our culinary delights."
She shows you a plate of exotic fruits. Some have been shaped to resemble flowers. There are apples, bananas, starfruit, passion fruit, mangoes, every color of grape, and several different sorts you can not recognize including one pink berry with a distinct cubic shape. You try one of these and find it tastes a little bit like salted pineapple but with a texture more like a blueberry.
She then puts forth the trays of bread and the platters of meat and cheese and instructs you in her favorite sandwich which involves a very special Elven mustard, not too sweet but still tangy though not particularly spicy.
"We also have wine, water, flavored water, wine water, and . . . well, we have a lot of wine," she says.
You thank her but since you are on an important mission you decide to stay sober.
"Just as well," she shrugs. "Here, you should try some of these cakes!"
You are working your way through the dessert selection when she glances out the window.
"Oh, we are there!" she exclaims. You turn your attention to the window but can see nothing but a blanket of fog, but then you break above the cloud cover and see a miraculous sight on the horizon, a city of alabaster and pearl with spires and stair cases floating upon a particularly dense sheet of cloud. You rub your eyes. You knew that this was a castle in the clouds but hearing about it and seeing it are two different beasts and you gape in awe at this impossible structure.
In no time at all the zeppelin bumps up against a dock like protrusion on the city and the sky-sailors hurry to bind ropes and hold it fast.
You disembark with the crowd and find yourself facing the broad, shining streets of a fairy city.
Do you proceed immediately to the Queen?
