The Library

Ah, the library! How can you resist that? You have always loved libraries in your own world and you can't even begin to imagine what a fairy library will be like. You tap the word "library" on the map and the map begins to grow swiftly becoming too heavy for your hands. You drop it to the ground, but it continues to expand until you have to step onto it to avoid being pushed down. You stare at your feet and find the map changing to a drawing of marble tiles. You glance up and find yourself standing in an illustration of the library itself, made of faint pencil lines upon the white paper of the map. Slowly color begins to fill in the line and the next time you blink, it has all become real.

The library is massive: three stories of books shelves. There are twisted metal staircases every so often, leading up to catwalks that bring you closer to the books above you. You start towards the nearest shelf, uncertain what section you are in, but  intending simply to take a book off the shelf and examine it, but when you step forward a book flies off the shelf and floats over to you. You  reach out and take the book. It feels weightless until your fingers have a firm hold and then it suddenly gains substance and you almost drop it in surprise.

But you don't and you open the cover to look at the first page.

To your dismay the page is empty. You turn to the next page and the next and find them all blank. Disappointed, you are about to put the book back when you aimlessly flip backwards and find that the pages you could've sworn were empty a moment before are now filled with words and illustrations. Shaking your head at your own lapse into madness, you  examine these and gasp. The book is telling the story of your life. You recognize scenes from your childhood as well as the adventures you have recently had traveling through fairy land.

"Ah, I see one of our journals has gotten a hold of you already. That is good," a voice says and you turn and find a bookish looking wood elf wearing round spectacles as thick as bottle glass and a bow tie. "I always like to make sure our visitors get a chance to start one. Don't worry, now that it has gotten a taste of your story, it will be able to sense you from a distance and continue to write your tale even if you are too busy to check in on us for awhile. Did you have any thing in particular you were looking for? Or would you just like to browse?" He takes the book from your hands and sets it carefully back on the shelf waiting for you reply. Uncertain, you look around the massive room.

You see a room in  the corner labeled Quiet Room which sounds very relaxing

but then again it might be nice simply to wander around for awhile.
