you choose to rest

You sit back in the chair, set down the candle, and take up your cup. It feels pleasantly warm against your hands and from the smell you can tell it is one off your favorite drinks, just what you had been craving. You decide to linger for awhile, here in the warmth and quiet.

Perhaps, in a bit, you will choose to return to that mysterious door and seek an adventure, but for now, you are cozy and comfortable and that is pleasant.
