Exploring the garden

The garden is overgrown, but undaunted, you pick up a long stick from the ground and begin to hack a path through the long grass towards the nearest fountain. This fountain is in the shape of a large fish. Its mouth is open and turned towards the sky as a spout, but it is obvious from the dried basin beneath that water has not flowed through this particular fountain in some time. Dried leaves fill the bottom of the fountain but under the leaves glints something shiny. You brush away the leaves to reveal a golden coin, about the size of a large button, untarnished and lustrous. You wonder how it came to be in this garden where all else is aged and worn.

Do you take it?

or

Should you leave it be?
